was ill, permited any one to
visit him.
I now ordered every one to come
on shore which was as much as
some of them could being so weak
as to be scarce able to walk. – Among
these were the Surgeon Mr. Ledward,
who was reduced to meer skin & bones
and Lawrence Lebogue a seaman
equally as bad – Those would cer-
tainly have died in a few days– Several
others were getting ill through a want
of resolution and spirits, and all in
a very weak condition & scarce able
