Having again experienced a dreadfull Night of it, the day showed to me a poor miserable set of Beings full of wants but nothing to releive them. Some complained of a great pains in their Bowels and all of having but little use of their Limbs. What sleep we got was scarce refreshing being covered with Sea and Rain, and two persons were always obliged to keep bailing. I served my teaspoonfull of Rum at day dawn as usual, and 1/24 of a lb of Bread with a Jill of water for Supper, Breakfast and Dinner.
At noon almost Calm and no sun to be seen. Some of us shivering with Cold. The direction of my Course is to pass to the northward of the New Hebrides.
