The visitor site of Baquerizo Beach is a cove that is located about 20 minutes by land from Port Baquerizo Moreno.
Access to Baquerizo Beach is from the last vista of "Cerro de las Tijeretas," from which there is a path about 2 miles long. During the tour you can see typical vegetation of the arid and the littoral zones. Also seen are frigates nesting over the bushes in the area.
This site has been used by the community of San Cristobal Island for fishing canchalagua, squid and other invertebrates.
Special Indications
- Because the trail is composed of a clayish substance, the ground is slippery during the rainy season, so you should take precaution when descending and ascending to this site.
